The latest versions 3.0.0 doesnt work stable, the new vpn profile seems keeping disconnecting. You have to open the Adblock app every time to reactivate it. Please revert changes and give back the previous dummy on-demand vpn profile for Adblock. Or make the new versions on stable for regular use. My previous rating for you was 5 stars, but for now its only 2.

Update: whatever recent changes were made have caused the app to be unable to be disabled. I suspect this relates to cookies but there must be a way to disable it easily without uninstalling or clearing every cookie. So Ad Block gets a solid B given that its one of the few apps having the ability to safely block annoying device-wide, and not just the browser. It also works on both wifi and cellular networks. In my estimated Id say 90%+ of ads are filtered simply by using the default global filters provided by the devs. Ive supplemented those with several of my own because iCab Mobile has the ability to display sites not being blocked and by process of elimination I can usually figure it out. That being said, the most glaring shortcoming is the inability for users to include wildcards in filters, which makes the app useless on sites that increasingly use random digits before/after a keyword (i.e. 123advertise$) which make wildcards a must so (*advertise*) can be used as a valid block. This will also have the effect of reducing the massive list required to block by domain and prefix. The developer have an alternate app that has wildcard functionality but it doesnt operate on cellular service. It also has redirect capabilities and more, but IIRC the developers host each users block file via custom URL. My knowledge of networking is limited but my apprehension is based on whether this added functionality could pose a potential security risk.

This app was working great for probabaly a couple of years. Then develper pushed out version 3.0 and completely broke compatibility with OpenVPN. if you use OpenVPN, do not update or buy version 3.0. so frustrating when developers carelessly push out updates without testing. also, I wouldnt expect a reply from the developer either.

This app is no question the best thing could happen to me. Easy to setup it really block ads on every app. Keep my screen ad free. Thank you guys. Good job.

For the most part this app works great. However for my QuizUp app I still continue to get ads and quite long ones at that

The switch to a different VPN setup has resulted in my phone disconnecting from the VPN frequently and ads slipping through. Please fix :( EDIT: Im convinced the old VPN on-demand method was vastly superior. Please bring it back! Im getting ads like crazy now since the new VPN always disconnects.

I have tried several different ad blockers. All of them blocked some adds but not all of them. Ad blocker blocks all adds perfectly. This ad free experience sure makes using the internet more enjoyable .

When I update the app to ver.3.0.0, RManager Pro turns to freeze on the splash screen. The ver.2.8.2 is ok.

Why are you setting up the DNS to Google on version 3? If I cant get version 2.8 Im asking for a refund! ? Apple should investigate this app specially version 3 for security issues.
