AdBlock - block ads on iPhone App Reviews

Since last update wont work on cellular network. Only on wifi. Use to but not now. Saw this 3.0 update so I said why not lets give it a shot. The result is WORSE. The only thing its blocking is AIR and thats impossible. Two minus one = 1 star

Nice looking app. Disconnects from the VPN a lot, an update that forces the VPN to connect as an option would be nice

I really cant complain about this app. It does everything it claims. I will recommend this app to family and friends.

According to recent news, Apple is cracking down on VPN-Based Ad Blockers that work in third-party Apps. The future of this app is not clear. It may be removed from App-store of its functionality reduced. Get it while you still can!

You guys broke the app with the latest update..its not working anymore bcs not blocking apps except safari. it used to block adds at any other apps. Not working anymore pls fix!!

I think the on demand setup is/was better than this update. Ive been getting ads like crazy also. Doesnt seem to work well anymore. I even deleted and reinstalled app to see if it would help but nothing. Still getting a lot of ads through apps. Please fix... Update: Now Ive notice that AdBlock disables itself on its own as well. Its happened about 6-7 times in the past week or so. Ill enable it then go to an app and notice ads so I go to check AdBlock and as soon as I open it its Green as enabled but then its switched to Orange as disabled within seconds of opening app.

The widget only shows up has useable to turn it On or Off sometimes. The rest of the time its dark. One of FutureMinds apps, AdBlock or Weblock seem to interfere with the AppStore. Maybe I should be running only one at a time. FutureMind should explain whether they can be used simultaneously.

Bad update allot of ads ?

The new version doesnt block ads. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and still doesnt work. It shows the VPN icon in the menu bar, so the app seems to think its working, but I am seeing tons of ads that I wasnt seeing with the previous version.

Using google DNS pass through makes it not blocking much. I am not sure how secure it is when the VPN is using 8.8.8.8 (google public servers). It is NOT using a dummy VPN, the developer is lying. This is easily checked if you go to the Privacy-> VPN -> and hit the "i" Dummy VPN would be routing to yourself 127.0.0.1. It doesnt do anything locally anymore. Sneaky change without disclaimer. It is not secure anymore if it passes through Google DNS. Use this if you dont care about privacy. The developer ignores all contact asking why change DNS address.

Summary: If you prefer using browsers other than Safari (e.g. Chrome or Firefox) then this is worth the cost. Buy it now. Seriously. Other thoughts: Even if you do use Safari, most other ad blockers only stop the ads from being displayed. This product is different in that it sends the ad traffic to a dead-end VPN. Why does that matter? It saves the data that the ads take up, and it helps keep your traffic a bit more hidden from the scummy advertiser groups. This Apps solution is fantastic and fairly unique on the mobile scene. Its simple to enable/disable, and it provides a night and day difference in mobile browsing. I recommend this app to all of my friends and family. Its a "must-have" in my opinion!

I was expecting a much more complicated setup process, but it was so easy! This works great!! Update: After leaving it running for a while (a few hours?) it stopped working for me and now I get ads in many places. I hope this can be fixed soon!

ads are leaking through some of the apps if you can tweak and fix it would be perfect thank you for this app

Blocks most of the ads in all my apps. I like that!
