AdBlock - block ads on iPhone App Reviews

As a blocker, Im very happy with this app, which allows me to improve my device privacy & security, both on the web and in apps. If you know what youre doing (and you understand it doesnt work like standard Safari blockers), this is an excellent app for system-wide blocking. However, iCloud sync doesnt always work properly – after my iPad and iPhone became out of sync with one another, I had to figure out a way to get them back in sync. This involved going through my user groups & domains and using the on/off toggles to force anything missing from one device to sync from the other one. A tedious workaround, yes, but after some work my devices are now back in sync with one another. (Suggestion for the developer: please include an overall "resync everything" button for situations like this, thanks!)

Works but has new bugs. Slow to update hosts/definitions.

Keeps shutting itself off and didnt with when I turn it on manually. Might be an issue with 10.3

App is excellent and unique in its category. Absent is the ability to whitelist sites, use wild cards (i.e. * ?), and determine active filters that may be interfering with the correct functioning of a particular site (overstock was my problem yesterday). In these situations the only option is to exit the browser and temporarily disable the app. I despise ads, but my use of ad blockers is a tool of last resort. When developers offer premium, ad-free versions, I buy the upgrade to compensate the developer for their work. If the absence I will employ whatever tools are required to circumvent them.

Work well But il look like bouygues (french carrier) hijack dns, so Adblock wont work. Not cool...

It doesnt get everything but it definitely makes surfing more enjoyable. It does block about 80% from what Ive seen and it doesnt block app updates or other functionality. Its also doesnt slow anything down which is a big plus.

It said vpn servers could not be found

Does not block ads in YouTube. I tried the YouTube app and bam the ad started!!

This works very well when its enabled, but it seems to have trouble staying enabled. Its like something in iOS is auto disabling it. If this gets fixed, its a must have.

Used to work well, but now it doesnt block ads at all. Maybe it needs an update for 10.3.1. Hopes it comes soon...

Pretty clever app. Not perfect, but it certainly helps reduce the number of ads I see.

It works on low end device unlike other legit adblock app.

ive tried to get it to work but it doesnt. it used to work but not anymore - thing is, it just reports a network problem.

Current version turns itself off all the time. Seriously has become useless.

Some ads have been showing through, but for some reason the app has been preventing the "ad page" not load after I try accessing it. For example, when I google XYZ, the google sponsored app will still be the first thing that shows up. But when I click on it, the webpage displays as a blank. I hope that you can fix this...

It does exact what it says. I dont notice how well it works until I use someone else phone. One word of advice would be to open the app every no and then to let it load all the new apps, or else it wont block new apps.
