Broken, change it back!

Now it wants to install a VPN profile and upon doing so it states the VPN profile is invalid??? Previously there was no profile to install for this app but the sister app required one. I toggled the VPN indicator on and off without change. No longer working as designed. I really dont want to delete my iCloud custom profiles and start over either. Also: my battery life has been suffering lately. I dont have enough facts to blame the issue on this app but I am concerned whether the change to VPN profile is simply providing more transparency or causing the drain. Whatever the issue the VPN is inconsistent in how it doesnt remain activated when changing between various communication modes (wifi to cell and back) or possibly after device sleeps for several hours it seems to become disabled.
